DIT (Department of Trade & Industry) is working in Pakistan since 1996 and has a long history of working with government, trade bodies, investors, businesses and educational organizations of UK and Pakistan.
DIT has developed new partnerships with international businesses across the world like British Business Centre, harnessing local business networks and expertise to deliver a wider set of services to British exporters and SMEs. In more than 40 countries British companies are able to access not only the support for their Embassy but also a local export consultancy partner, accredited by the UK’s Overseas Business Network initiative (OBNI).
THE BRITISH BUSINESS CENTRE inaugurated in Pakistan in January 2016 which is poised to strengthen business and trade relations between Pakistan and the UK. Supported by the British High Commission in Pakistan and Department of Trade & Industry (DIT), it helps connecting British businesses to Pakistani business opportunities. British Business Centre is principally a one-stop shop providing soft landing for UK firms, offering various bespoke services, guiding through legal and regulatory systems.
THE BRITISH BUSINESS CENTRE team is trained to supply introductions to key companies and players in Pakistan, assist British businesses obtain vital information, and provide ongoing assistance to foreign businesses. This includes market entry strategies, start-up support, promotion and outreach, mentoring and overseas market introduction service (OMIS) reporting.
